Measuring at a mere 2.7″ in length and 1.03″ in height, the motion control R356 stepper driver + controller is easily accommodated into most systems. It provides up to 3 amps peak of current, handles up to 40VDC, and is capable of up to 256x microstepping — with a standard 1.8° motor, that equals to over 50,000 steps per revolution!

Configuring and programming the R356 unit is simple as well. With built-in RS485 communication, the unit can be easily connected to a computer and configured via Lin Engineering’s graphical user interface (GUI), LinCommand. Users can easily store up to 16 different programs at once and use the R356 as a stand-alone unit with no PC connection required.
