The LVCM-019-048-02 Linear Voice Coil Motor is a true servo motor featuring zero cogging, high accuracy, and high repeatability when operated in a closed position loop. Voice Coil Motors (also referred to as actuators) are clean, quiet, efficient, brushless high speed linear servo motors. This small LVCM-019-048-02 diameter actuator has a 1.500 in (38.1 mm) stroke length and a high-force-to-size ratio of 7.4 oz (2.1 N) and a peak force of 23.5 oz. (6.5 N) at 10% duty cycle.

The high speed, 20 mm (0.7874 in.) travel, Equipment Solutions’ Motion Control VCS-2020 Voice Coil Stage features a 20 mm dia. aperture. An integrated Analog position feedback sensor assures 100 nanometer (3.937 10-6 in.) repeatability. This compact voice coil stage is ideal for such micro-positioning applications as: Scanning interferometry, disk drive testing, auto focus systems, surface structure analysis, confocal microscopy, biotechnology, and semiconductor test equipment.

The compact 117 mm 75 mm 81 mm (4.60 in. 2.96 in. 3.18 in.), low mass, motion control voice coil stage is a fully self-contained system including a high precision cross roller stage, voice coil actuator, analog position sensor, servo amplifier and servo controller. The low inertia cross roller stage is integral to the standard threaded “C” lens mount and motor coil for tip/tilt free motion. Custom lens mounts are available. The voice coil motor is rated at 17.8 N (4 lbs.) continuous force and 71.8 N (16 lbs.) peak for 10 seconds and is clean room compatible. For easy integration into a new or existing application the VCS-10H Voice Coil Stage has multiple sets of mounting holes on several surfaces.

The new LVCM-051-051-06 Linear Voice Coil Motor has been designed with a larger radial air gap to tolerate the tilting and misalignment that can be experienced when clamping out of parallel objects or moving off-center loads. This compact linear motor is 2.000 in (50.8 mm) in dia. with a 2.00 in. (50.8 mm) long housing and at mid stroke is just 2.88 in. (73.0 mm). Peak force is 9.5 lb (42.2N) at a 10% duty cycle and continuous force is 3.0 lb (13.3 N). The compact linear encoder module measures just 51.5 mm (2.027 in.) long by 5.99 mm (0.236 in.) wide by 0.8 mm (0.073 in.) high. This high, 1.25 micron resolution, low power encoder module features TTL Quadrature Outputs and requires only a single +3.3 or +5 VDC supply.

The LS-00125U-01 Linear Scale supplied is only 6 mm (0.24 in.) wide by 0.3 (0.01 in.) high and would be attached to a flat surface using PSA adhesive. The standard scale length is 76.2 mm (3.00 in.) long. The linear scale is available with lengths up to 610.0 mm (24.00 in.). The quadrature signals are output differentially. The module also features a TTL level HOME output.
