Van Nuys, CA – Motion Control – Moticont has released the HVCM-025-022-003-01 Hollow Core Voice Coil Motor, featuring an open aperture and high force-to-size ratio. This miniature Linear DC Servo Motor has a continuous force rating of 16.9 oz. (4.7 N) and a peak force of 53.5 oz (14.9 N) at a 10% duty cycle.

The extended length of the motor is 1.31 inch (33.3 mm) at mid-stroke, and has a 0.125 inch (3.2 mm) diameter open aperture for optics, illumination, laser beams, or passage of cables. This linear voice coil servo actuator, also called a moving coil motor, features: Zero cogging, high speed, high acceleration/deceleration, and high precision accuracy and repeatability when operated in a closed servo loop.

The precision ground 0.1572 +/- 0.0003 in. (3.993 +/- 0.008 mm) diameter shaft guided by a linear bearing in the extended position is 2.500 in. (63.5 mm) long. It can tolerate a side load to 2 lbs. Motion Control – Van Nuys, CA –The R-09-150 CCWM Series of Counter Clockwise, Forward Shaft Extension Rotary Solenoids from Magnetic Sensor Systems (MSS), available in OEM quantities, features 18 different winding configurations allowing the user to match torque and duty cycle requirements to an application. These compact 38.1 mm (1.50 in.) diameter solenoids are just 22.098 (22.1) mm (0.87 in.) long and have two M4X0.7 threaded studs (8-32 studs optional) 7.366 (7.4) mm (0.29 in.) long on a 22.225 (22.2) mm (0.875 in.) bolt circle. The shaft has 40 degrees of counter clockwise rotation, extending (13.0) mm (0.51 in.). The shaft end is serrated for a better grip of the attached load.

The R-09-150 CCWM Series of Rotary Solenoids can be specified with a choice of AWG winding of 21 to 37 gauge. Specifying a different AWG for the windings allows the user to control the performance of a solenoid with respect to duty cycle, current supplied, and torque by controlling the ampere turns.
